Everyone knows that the 1950’s had a lot of things that we, in 2016, do not have.
Some of these things include the first edition of Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, the proud title of being the first generation to read The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, the first Barbie doll, Tupperware parties, the invention of Kleenex, and original runs of Lassie. Look at those pals. #unreachablefriendshipgoals
If time travel were real, I’d totally go back to the fifties. No doubt about it.

The cost of living was cheap. Heartbreak Hotel by Elvis was hot off the turn table. Dunkin’ Donuts was new and fresh to death.
There are aspects of the 50’s that are still around, sort of.
Do you know this place? I know you do.
That’s right. It’s where Marty meets his nerdy dad when he travels back to 1955 in Back to the Future.
Diners. What a special, delicious, and dying breed of restaurant.
Diners always have the best food. Diners are always fun.
Sandy & Danny like diners. They are the #relationshipgoals we should look up to. We should also look up to their eating establishment choices.
Look at how much fun they’re having. Way more fun than I’m having.
I want to be with them in that diner with a smile stuck on my face so everyone knows how much fun I’m having, even though that may seem a tad unnatural.
I have found a way to travel back in time… And it’s in a glass.
THE MALT.
A sacred and delicious heirloom of the 20th century.
Psh. This boy is busy looking at this girl when he could be focusing on slurping up that succulent substance! He’s barely even drinking it at all. What a rookie mistake.
I could drink a malt with every meal.
They’re simple to make. They’re delicious every month of the year. Give me a malt, and I’ll basically give you my life. My hand in marriage? No, that belongs to the malt.
If you also can’t keep your paws off the malt, there is hope for you.
