Malt-A-Boo Fall Trail Mix

Instructions

Place plain popcorn in a bowl to be mixed with melted chocolate.

Melt the chocolate and paraffin wax in a double boiler or microwave using medium heat and frequently stirring to prevent burning.

Once melted, pour chocolate mixture into plain popcorn and stir until all popcorn is covered in chocolate.

Then pour ¾ cup of Soda Fountain® Malted Milk Powder on chocolate covered popcorn and toss with a spoon to cover with powder. Place popcorn mix in refrigerator until chocolate is firm, about 20 – 30 minutes.  Break apart if there are larger chunks.

In a Festive large bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients. This make a fun and easy party mix!

Ingredients

    • 5 – 6 cups Popcorn (Plain or Caramel)
    • 5 – 6 cups Plain Popcorn (to mix with melted chocolate chips)
    • 1 cup Semi-Sweet, Milk or White Chocolate Chips
    • 2 oz. of Paraffin Wax (for Smoother Chocolate)
    • 1 cup Soda Fountain® Malted Milk Powder (more or less depending on your taste)
    • Pretzels
    • Candy Corn
    • Candy Corn Pumpkins
    • Roasted Peanuts
    • Fall Colored Chocolate Candy (such as M&M’s)
    • Other items of your choice – Goldfish, Craisins, Reese’s Pieces, Marshmallows, Cheerios, etc. (be creative!)
